The amount of land and recreation is one aspect of Butterfly Gap that separates it from any other place. A continually expanding amount of hiking trails are at the disposal of our guests. Many great overlooks of the city are only a short trek away. Enjoy a short hike to a waterfall, or find your own waterhole for a private soak in a stream. At Butterfly Gap, guests can get the entire mountain experience, not just the usual views of the mountains. The East Tennessee area offers many different events throughout the season. Whether it is the Foothills Fall Festival or Christmas in Pigeon Forge, visitors to the area always will have something to do. The Smoky Mountain National park is very accessible from Butterfly Gap, and the scenic Foothills Parkway is 10 minutes from the entrance.
